Private commission

Inspired by the shape of a long breaking wave, this new sculpture will employ a language derived from microscopic views of the bones of a seabird. This will be a relatively small sculpture at about 10 feet wide, but very intricate. We will be making a related larger pair of sculptures for the deCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln, Massachusetts. When the larger sculptures are installed in the sculpture park in 2027, we intend to display this sculpture inside the museum.

The sculpture will be made from a very old birch tree we salvaged from a home in Seattle.
